“Covering 26 hectares and run by the Barbarin family, Chateau Biston-Brillette has turned out a fine 2015 that gives up lively red fruits (raspberries/strawberries), medium-bodied richness, complex notes of flowers and incense, and light, silky tannin. I love the overall balance and purity of this wine, and it’s well worth seeking out. The blend is equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon aged 12 months in 30% new French oak. Drink it anytime over the coming decade.” (Nov 2017)
